submissions called for second

  Darling Downs Biographical Register

Submissions forms are now available to have your family included in our second Darling Downs Biographical Register. Our first register included persons who were on the Darling Downs prior to 1900. We are now expanding the time frame to 1920. This also means that those family historians who were not able to submit an entry for our first Biographical Register will be able to do so now. For submission form please contact us via email.

The Family History Society will guide you through the basic steps of researching your ancestry.

Details of past generations can be gleaned from records held in the Society's library. Microfiche and microfilm along with cemetery records are a valuable source of information.

Find important information from resources such as Indexes, Print Material, Micofiche, Microfilm, Newspapers and Journals.

Our CD ROM collection is growing and includes vital records, census records, Queensland electoral rolls, Queensland school records and more. We have Government and Police Gazettes for all states and these are purchased as they become available.

Duty Members to Help You

There is always a Duty Member available to assist at the family history centre to give advice on where you might find that elusive piece of information.

Duty Members will also show you how to use equipment that will aid in your research.

 Cemetery Entrance
